Privacy Policy

1. Information we may process

When you actively use relevant features, RoleHatch may process resume files and text, job preferences and job-seeker profiles, and recruiting-page information such as job titles, companies, compensation, labels, job links, recruiter activity, job descriptions, and JD text. To generate and check application content, we may also process draft greetings, pending application lists, application progress, statuses, and results.

To provide login, invitation-code, membership, or quota checks, we may process email addresses, device identifiers, invitation-code status, login and session status, membership status, order numbers, redemption records, entitlement-check information, and necessary usage records.

2. How we use information

We use this information only to provide job screening and matching, resume parsing, greeting generation or rewriting, pending-list organization, user-confirmed application assistance, account and entitlement checks, quota control, service security, reliability improvements, and issue diagnosis. We do not sell personal data or use it for personalized advertising, retargeting, data brokerage, or marketing profiles unrelated to job-search assistance.

3. Local storage and backend requests

Some settings, resume attachments, job preferences, pending states, application results, diagnostic summaries, and queued statistics may be stored locally in Chrome. You may clear local data through extension settings, Chrome's extension management page, or browser data-management tools.

When you trigger resume parsing, job matching, greeting generation or rewriting, entitlement checks, or similar features, data needed to complete the feature may be sent to RoleHatch-controlled backend services. PDF-resume image attachments may be rendered locally in the browser; when text extraction or profile generation is needed, relevant resume content may be sent to the backend.

4. Model, email, and infrastructure providers

To complete features you actively request, the RoleHatch backend may use third-party services where necessary. Depending on the enabled path and service configuration, these may include DeepSeek for resume-profile summaries, job matching, and greeting generation; Alibaba Cloud Bailian / DashScope for backup text processing or image-resume recognition; Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) for email login verification; and cloud servers, databases, object storage, logging, and security infrastructure that host and maintain the backend.

The extension package does not contain model-service keys and does not require users to enter model API keys in the browser. We may update the provider scope as features and service configurations change, and will pass data only to the extent necessary to provide or improve RoleHatch's single job-search-assistance purpose.

5. Recruiting-page data and diagnostic statistics

RoleHatch reads recruiting-page information relevant to the current job-search feature only when you visit a supported recruiting website and actively use a related feature. Job and JD data are used for screening, fit assessment, pending lists, and user-confirmed application assistance; they are not used for ad targeting, data brokerage, or general browsing-behavior analysis unrelated to RoleHatch's single purpose.

To improve reliability and investigate issues, we may process redacted or truncated diagnostic logs and privacy-friendly statistical events. Statistics use event and field allowlists and are designed not to record complete resumes, complete contact details, complete chat content, complete JDs, full greetings, cookies, tokens, screenshots, or model keys.

6. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

RoleHatch's use of user data obtained through its Chrome extension and related browser pages complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Such data is used only to provide or improve RoleHatch's disclosed single job-search-assistance purpose and directly related security, reliability, and operational needs.

Except where necessary to provide or improve that purpose, comply with applicable legal obligations, or address security or abuse risks, we do not transfer such user data to third parties; use it for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising; or sell it to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers. Personnel may not read resumes, JDs, chat content, greetings, or similar user data unless the user gives explicit consent for a specific support need, access is necessary for a security or abuse incident or legal obligation, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized solely for internal operations.

7. International processing

Some third-party services may provide or store services outside the People's Republic of China. For example, Resend, the email-verification provider, may process or store customer data in the United States. When you use email login, your email address and information needed to send a verification code may therefore be involved in cross-border processing.

Where actual processing constitutes an outbound transfer of personal information under applicable law, we will follow applicable notice, personal-information-protection impact assessment, separate-consent, and other transfer procedures. If you do not wish to use an email-login route involving that provider, do not enable that route where an alternative is available.

8. Your rights and choices

To the extent provided by applicable law, you may request access to or a copy of personal information we process; correction, supplementation, or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary information; withdrawal of consent-based processing; or restriction of processing. You may also stop using a feature or clear browser-local data.

For data already sent to the RoleHatch backend, contact support@zaoniaotou.com or visit Support. To protect data, we may reasonably verify your identity or account before processing a request. Where information must be retained by law or cannot be deleted immediately for technical reasons, we will stop unnecessary processing other than storage and necessary security protection.

9. Security and retention

RoleHatch uses modern encrypted transmission such as HTTPS, access controls, data minimization, field allowlists, log redaction, and a design that does not distribute secrets to the client to reduce data risks.

We follow a shortest-necessary retention principle. If a fixed retention period cannot be set in advance, we determine it based on the time needed to provide a user-requested feature and maintain an account or entitlement; whether the relevant account or service relationship remains active; a reasonable period for security, abuse, or dispute resolution; and mandatory legal retention periods. When the purpose is complete, a valid deletion request applies and no retention basis remains, or the service stops and retention is no longer necessary, we delete or anonymize information under applicable processes.

10. Minors

RoleHatch is designed for job-search scenarios and is not directed to children under fourteen. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we discover that we collected such information in error, we will stop processing, delete it, or take other required measures under applicable law. Other minors should use the service with a guardian's guidance and as permitted by applicable law.

11. Independent third-party statement

RoleHatch is an independent job-search-assistance tool. It does not represent BOSS Zhipin and does not constitute its official endorsement, partnership, or guarantee. RoleHatch does not guarantee a reply, interview, offer, or any other particular job-search result.

12. Policy updates

We may update this policy as product capabilities, data-processing practices, third-party services, or applicable requirements change. If a change materially affects user rights, we will provide any required prominent notice and obtain consent again where required. The updated date will appear on this page.
